We respectfully announce the passing of Mr. Reginald Williams, age 59, (formerly of LaGrange, Georgia) of the St. Marks Community in Meriwether County on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.
Graveside Services for Mr. Reginald Williams will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Olive Branch Cemetery #2 located on Cousins Road, Greenville, Georgia. Pastor Yolanda Colton will officiate and Pastor Renee Clark, Eulogist. Service will be live-streamed (see clickable link below)
Public viewing will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Due to COVID-19 concerns everyone in attendance at the viewing and the Graveside must wear a mask and social distancing is encouraged.
Reginald Williams was born September 25, 1963, to the late Hazel Williams and Donald McLaughlin. Reginald departed his life October 20, 2022 to enter into his heavenly home above.
Reginald grew up in LaGrange, Georgia. He attended LaGrange High School where he was an active member of the football and track and field teams. Reginald graduated from LaGrange High School in 1982. Upon completion of high school, Reginald entered the semi-pro football league. After spending a few years in the semi-pro league, Reginald returned to LaGrange, where he entered the work- force. Reginald was employed by TenCate, as an operational inspector, until his health failed him.
Reginald joined the White Plains United Methodist Church under the leadership of Nathale Walthall. Reginald was a member of the United Methodist Men and attended regularly until his health declined.
Reginald enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved all sports and cars. Reginald enjoyed listening to music and being the “life of the party.”
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Williams, father, Donald McLaughlin, sister, Laquis Williams , grandmother, Mattie Williams, cousins, Delorace Williams, Shantel Williams and Auntie, Mary Joyce Ellison.
Reginald leaves to cherish his devoted wife, Stephanie Williams, four children, Reginad Jermaine Williams, Edarious Rashad Williams, Shemekia (Chris) Jordan and Johntavious Rutledge Sr.; Grandchildren, Christopher Jordan, Katie(Micheal) Martin, Jayden Freeman, Cameron Jordan, Ja’Niyah Rutledge, Johntavious Rutledge Jr, Kamiya Rutledge, and Kaylee Rutledge; One great-grandson, Myles Martin; Step-mom, Bertha McLaughlin; four sisters, Lisa Allen, Carolyn Gates, Gloria (Randy) McLaughlin Williams, Stephani (Wantwaz) Davis; four brothers, Donald J.(Katrina)McLaughlin, Jermaine D. McLaughlin, Daryl G. McLaughlin and Antoine McLaughlin and host of nieces, nephews, and aunts and uncles.
